5 Signs You May Have a Food Sensitivity

Food allergies can occur when a person’s immune system recognizes certain eats as a threat and reacts aggressively by causing symptoms. The signs are unmistakable: sudden swelling, hives, and closing of the airways are very common. But sensitivity to specific foods can be subtle.   3. Fatigue that persists for hours after consuming certain foods may indicate hypoglycemia, a medical condition triggered by simple carbs and refined sugars. In addition, it can occur when blood sugar drops too low. If you regularly feel wiped out after eating, try grazing on smaller meals throughout the day, don’t skip meals, and limit refined sugars.
  4. You feel moody are eating sugar, gluten or milk products. Dairy products contain chemicals that are also present in opiates. You might experience withdrawal hours after eating ice cream or yogurt. The mood swings occur in people who are highly sensitive and may also lack focus and suffer from headaches.
  5. Joint pain can result from food allergies or sensitivity. When foods like, dairy, gluten or soy are ingested, an allergic body may feel under attack boosting the inflammatory response that lands in the joints.
