Maritza is the billing coordinator with over 3 years of health care experience. She started as a registered dental assistant and quickly realized she enjoyed interacting more with patients in an urgent care setting. She joined Preferred Urgent Care in January 2021 as a patient concierge assisting patients with check ins, insurance verification and some minor billing tasks. She excelled in that role so much so that she was promoted to the role of billing coordinator. Her role is to ensure that all billing functions are carried out timely and by the appropriate team member.
It’s impossible to miss Martiza’s bubbling personality even on her worst day. Her team and patients love her so much. She is married to her lovely husband, Francisco and together they have two healthy and lovely kids, Ayden and Lexie. When she isn’t working, she enjoys relaxing with her family catching up on her favorite TV shows.
